The Third Meeting (23,04/2017)

The third meeting was the most productive to check all the artists’ work proposals and share further artistic activities with Josenjok community.

  1. Acutal starting activity for learning Joseonjok’s food recipe (May and June)
  2. Maintaing Academic Reading Group series in New Malden (May and June)
  3. Confirmed the final exhibition dates: 3th for the opening and 4th and 5th 2017
  4. Radio Broadcasting to advertisement in Korean to New Malden residence (27th 04/2017 at 8pm)
  5. Scheduling in detail for the publication deadline (Exhibition Poster deadline- 30th 06/2017) Catalogue deadline- 8th 07/2017)
  6. Further Things to do: confirmation with Korean restaurants to exhibit artworks/ Adverstisement in Reading Group and selecting academic paper about Joseonjok community/ Meeting and learning Joseonjok’s food recipe.

The First Meeting Updates (11,03/2017)

Beyond the Borders Exhibition Space (all methodologies can be proceeded simultaneously)

  • 1. Joseonjok food distribution by a food truck or Korean restaurants
  • 2. Using Korean Restaurants’ a bathroom, wall, table etc. to exhibit works
  • 3. Reserving Public Parks in London
  • 4. Reserving an Exhibition Space (White Cube): waiting for the responses from CassArt Kingston(free), Candid Trust (Euston) and Crypt Gallery (Euston)
  • 5. A guerrilla Pub Meeting
  • 6. Tottenham court road in London was the former Korean town in which site-specific works can be explored
  • Contacting with Drawing Room

The Second Meeting updates (31,03/2017)

Partnership with the UAL Curation Society and SU Arts for the promotion and future lecture series

What has Boram’s done

  1. Korean institutions’ possible promotion(the Embassy of the Rebublic of Korea in UK and Korean Cultural Centre UK) and further funding opportunities 
  2. Joseonjok Community reach out by putting leaflets in New Malden and personal connection
  3. Korean Restaurant artwork installation: confirmed with some restaurants for installation  See example: (they put African artwork as a partnership)
  4. Final Exhibition dates setting from August 3th to 4th (2days) Reservation
  5. Ira’s personal archive and history, regarding to Korean diaspora 

Further Things to do:  Actual Meeting or indirect research about Joseonjok community (food recipe, working exchange etc.)
